Retropie for Pi2jamma

FindĀ  here a tutorial for installing retropie for the pi2jamma project.

It based on the facebook post from Chris Binarystar (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1649021265123737/2009683192390874/)

*Setting up Retropie for Pi2Jamma*

Please note this is written mostly from memory so let me know if you have any problems. My zip file includes the latest scripts by Michael Vencio.

1)
Download the latest version of Retropie and write to your microsd card using Win32DiskImager.

Download script

script p2j_setup.sh

2)
On your computer, open /boot/config.txt on the microsd card.

add the following lines at the bottom :

# pi2scart/pi2jamma (240p/15khz)
disable_audio_dither=1
dtoverlay=vga666
enable_dpi_lcd=1
display_default_lcd=1
dpi_group=2
dpi_mode=87
hdmi_timings=320 1 23 25 39 240 1 4 3 15 0 0 0 60 0 6400000 1

3)
Extract the contents of p2j_setup.zip to the root of the USB stick containing your ROMs.

4)
Plug a USB keyboard, the microsd card and USB stick into your Raspberry PI and power on.

5)
Once booted, configure keyboard controls for Emulation Station.

6)
Quit Emulation Station by pressing [START] and selecting QUIT (keep scrolling down) and then QUIT EMULATIONSTATION.

7)
At the command prompt, type :

cd /media/usb0

then type :

sudo sh p2j_setup.sh

The script will now copy files and reboot your machine. Once back in emulation station, use your USB keyboard to press the [START] button and then select reconfigure controls. Reconfigure your arcade controls by pressing buttons/sticks on your arcade cabinet.

Now follow steps 7-12 in the readme.txt in the p2j directory to configure video options for the various emulators.

I hope that helps some of you on your quest for pixel perfection
